1. Summary

gabcake-publisher is a private, self-hosted application used by one person to publish their own videos to their own social media accounts. It has no other users, and it does not collect, store, or process personal data belonging to anyone else.

2. What data is handled

The Software stores the following, entirely on the Operator's own computer and private storage:

• Access tokens issued by connected platforms when the Operator authorizes their own account. These are used only to publish to that account.
• Basic account information returned by those platforms — such as the connected account's username, display name, avatar, and public post statistics — shown in the interface so the Operator can confirm which account is connected and how their own posts performed.
• Video files and captions created by the Operator.

3. What data is not handled

The Software does not collect data about any other person. It does not read other users' private information, does not scrape or store other users' content, does not track visitors, and does not use analytics or advertising services.

4. Sharing

No data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties. The only outbound transfers are to the platform the Operator has chosen to publish to — for example, sending a video and its caption to TikTok in order to post it.

5. Storage and retention

Data is stored locally on the Operator's own computer and in the Operator's own private cloud storage. Access tokens are retained only while the account remains connected and are deleted when the account is disconnected or access is revoked.

6. Revoking access

The Operator can disconnect any account at any time from within the Software, or revoke the application's access directly from the platform's own settings — for TikTok, under Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Manage app permissions.

7. Security

The Software runs on a private computer and is not exposed to the public internet for general use. Credentials and tokens are stored in local configuration that is not published or shared.

8. Children

The Software is not directed at children and has no users other than the Operator, who is an adult.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated as the Software changes. The current version is always the one published on this page.
